Chafing dish fuel is made from natural ethanol alcohol, mixed with water and a thickening agent to form a solid or gel. HENDI chafing dish fuel is specially produced to be so bitter that it is impossible to swallow. To safely and efficiently heat chafing dishes, we recommend placing the chafing dish fuel can in the designated fuel holders. The heating capacity is the same throughout the range, while the heating rate depends on the size of the flame, which is determined by how far the chafing dish fuel holder lid is held open. HENDI chafing dish fuel burns soot-free and is odorless. Chafing dish fuel cartridges and cans become very hot during use, creating a significant risk of burns if not placed inside the chafing dish fuel container. Burn hazard! These chafing dish fuel can holders are included with HENDI chafing dishes and are available separately. Always read the product instructions before use. Ensure there are no open flames or hot objects nearby when working with chafing dish fuel. Flammable vapor escapes easily from the container. Make sure that water (condensation) does not drip into the burning fuel. This can cause dangerous splashes and fuel spray. Ignite the fuel only after placing the chafing dish fuel container in its final position. The flames are almost entirely blue, making them very difficult to see in the light. Caution is advised. Turn off the fuel only by closing the lid of the chafing dish fuel container. Refilling: Always make sure the can and its holder have completely cooled. Remove the can from the chafing dish fuel can holder to refill the can. Storage: Always store in closed containers in a dark, well-ventilated place, below 20°C. To store larger quantities of fuel, consult local regulations. If the above instructions are followed, the risk of accidents will be minimal. In the event of an initial/small fire: Use a fire blanket (or a large, wet blanket) to cover the fire and deprive it of oxygen. In the event of a fire on clothing/body: Use a fire blanket or a powder/CO2 extinguisher. Never try to put out the fire with a small towel, as this will only spread the fuel and flames! After extinguishing the fire, keep cool for 15 minutes or until medical assistance arrives. Do not remove any burned clothing. Always seek medical attention immediately.
